Ooh la la! C'est Magnifique. Please can I stay forever? Will recommend to anyone that will listen. It is just beautiful.

Just beautiful. Perfect location. Love the decor. French feel. Could easily be in France. Already recommend to friends in Sydney. Thank you.
Jim and Tammy McCain, Sydney
On arrival we were rather taken aback by the apartment. We knew from the photos on the Traill website that it was going to be nice but I must say that we were more than a little impressed. The apartment has such style and elegance. We felt instantly relaxed. Being in Margaret River we opened a nice red and headed for the terrace. Four hours later (not drunk!) we had to push ourselves to leave the apartment to go and have dinner. We could have sat out there all night. We went to Margaret River for the wine and countryside but staying at the Traill made the weekend for us. We didn't want to leave. We will certainly be back.

Penthouse interlude
The Traill in Margaret River offers something a little different in terms of accommodation for visitors.
On Bussell Highway and in the heart of the township, the two-storey French provincial-style building has commercial outlets on the ground floor and two penthouses designed for short-stay accommodation above.
Architects James Christou & Partners designed a French provincial-style building to reflect the South-West’s connection with the French explorers who visited the region.
The Traill includes a Dome Café, The Larder and Christian Fletcher Photo Images gallery on the ground level. Above are two penthouse apartments decorated in marine and art deco themes.
The aim was to provide easy access to gourmet outlets and a gallery for guests, as well as to add commercial ventures of this calibre to Margaret River.
The Traill is named after Mrs Adkins’ late husband, Ian Traill Adkins, who bought the site for her in December 1990.
The apartments opened at the end of 2003. “It took three years to complete the project,” Mrs Adkins said. “It was a very difficult site to build on because the main street has a stream and underground springs running along it.”
